Business Sale Process

The THOR Group and the Buyer

The THOR Group prefers to talk to people in person, and the buyer is no exception.  During an initial meeting, The THOR Group will typically request the prospective buyer complete a Personal Profile and answer questions such as these:

  1. Do you have the necessary funds to buy a business?

  2. Is the cash readily available?

  3. What is your time frame for buying a business?

  4. What are you expectations about the purchase of a business?

  5. What are your best skills, and what types of work do you like to do?

After this fact-finding meeting, The THOR Group can then show the buyer businesses that are both feasible and that fit the buyer's requirements.  Further steps The THOR Group will lead the buyer through are as follows:

  • Since sellers are very concerned about confidentiality, The THOR Group will ask the prospective buyer to sign a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement.
  • The THOR Group will provide the prospective buyer with preliminary information about one or more businesses, including pertinent financial data.
  • Once the buyer has indicated strong interest in a particular business, The THOR Group can then supply additional information and arrange for the buyer to visit the business.
  • When the buyer is ready, The THOR Group will be the best source for answering questions, addressing concerns, resolving loose ends, discussing deal structure, and offering unique expertise about the business sale transaction.
